Marcine Kline has established herself as one of the escrow industry’s leading professionals. As Vice President of Closed Escrow, Marcine holds the team to the highest standard of quality. Her full-service escrow offering includes a specialization in Probate, Trust Sales, Conservatorship and both court and independent administration of Estate Act transactions.

“The work just seemed so relatable to me,” Marcine says. She got her feet wet with independent escrow companies, and in 1986—the age of Reaganomics and new tax codes—opened her own firm. Setting her drive and strong work ethic in place, she quickly rose to success. “I’ve always had a strong work ethic, which is one of the things that drew me to Closed Escrow. It’s a big team with an infrastructure that leads with heart, this is important to me.”

Outside of the office, Marcine is an avid traveler, voracious reader and social butterfly. There’s nothing she likes more than heading out with her husband to entertain friends, many of whom started out as her clients.

With over 37 years of experience as an Escrow Officer and Escrow Management working with every type of escrow transaction, Michelle is a truly seasoned professional. Her unparalleled experience, exceptional business acumen, outstanding client communication skills, and impeccable reputation have made her a highly regarded figure within the real estate escrow community.

Michelle has an impressive career, having spent 13 years at Celebrity Escrow Corp, followed by seven years at McKeehan Escrow, 12 years at First Priority Escrow and a five-year stint at Allan Erdy Escrow before joining Closed Escrow. During this time, she gained in-depth market knowledge and expertise in all aspects of the business of escrow, including residential and commercial refinance and sale transactions, REOs, Short Sales, FHA/VA, 1031 Exchanges and other types of specialty escrows.

Apart from her wealth of experience in escrow, Michelle has also served as an Instructor of “Introduction to Escrow” at the San Fernando Board of Realtors. She is approved by the DFPI and has been a Bonded and Certified Notary Public for over 30 years. Michelle has also mastered her management skills with multiple years of executive and hands-on staff managerial experience.

CARMEN ALVARADO

Carmen Alvarado was studying at Cal State Northridge for a career in psychology when she got the opportunity to work as a receptionist in an escrow company. It didn’t take long for the real estate bug to bite. Now, 12 years and a bachelor’s degree in psychology later, Carmen is channeling her desire to help people—not as a psychologist, but as an Escrow Officer at Closed Escrow.

“I like to make people happy and love working in escrow,” Carmen shares. “For families and newlyweds purchasing their first home, you want to make it the best possible experience.” She joined Closed Escrow alongside Marcine Kline with whom she has worked her entire career. “We have a great relationship, and I love the management team here at Closed Escrow. The family-like atmosphere, the supportive team, the paperless environment—it’s all very welcoming and professional.” Carmen handles a variety of escrow transactions and is bilingual in Spanish and English.

Outside of the office, Carmen enjoys going to the theater, and as a newlywed herself, spends as much quality time as possible with her husband and son and their Old English Bulldog.

Known for her warm and approachable demeanor, Shelley prioritizes her clients’ needs above all else. She has successfully assisted hundreds of clients in navigating the complexities of escrow and facilitated countless smooth transactions.
